Property Accounting
The Property Financial & Accounting Analyst provides analysis and manages property
accounting transactions for all of the University's assets. The position is responsible for the
entire accounting process of the University's Real Estate Property, Moveable Equipment, Fixed
Assets and Physical Campuses that is in compliance with the University's regulations and GAAP
guidelines. The position monitors Fixed Assets Sub-Ledger (Asset Maxx), to including physical
inventory tagging, depreciation, and capitalization in accordance with federal regulations
specified in current OMB Circulars. The position identifies and assures that database records of
University owned or leased equipment, buildings, and other property are current and accurate.
The position supervises the bi-annual re-inventory of the University's Fixed Assets records to
include updating descriptions, values, locations, and other pertinent information of each asset.
The position accounts for and analyzes appropriate Land, Buildings & Equipment journal entry
transactions.
