Wayne Mircoff, Director, Financial & Management Reporting Services (FMRS)

Wayne Mircoff was recruited to Georgetown University via the Medical Center in 1991. He has served in a number of roles since then in both Medical Center Finance and University Financial Affairs. For the past two years, he has been a member of the division’s senior management team, providing direct support to the Sr. Vice President, CFO and Treasurer.

Primary responsibilities of the FMRS department of Financial Affairs include:

  • Provide timely, accurate information to the CFO, Financial Affairs departments and other university managers
  • Develop and manage tools to support the ongoing planning and reporting needs of Financial Affairs and Campus CFO’s, including compliance reports, reports for the board of directors, management analyses and budget development
  • Work jointly with campus Information-Systems departments to enhance the university’s analytic capabilities

Prior to joining Georgetown University in 1991, Mr. Mircoff spent three years in the Washington, DC office of Coopers & Lybrand. He worked on engagements in a number of the practice areas, primarily system audit and financial audit. Prior to that, Mr. Mircoff worked for a subsidiary of the Prudential Life Insurance Company in Newark, NJ, where he automated the production of their management reporting and statutory financial statements. Mr. Mircoff received a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Computer Science, both from Rutgers University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA).
